Highway traffic condition survey system

The traffic condition survey equipment consists of laser scanning sensors, video sensors, and a data acquisitionindustrial control computer.

Utilizing the basic principle of laser scanning ranging, when a vehicle passes a monitoringpoint equipped with the highway traffic condition survey system,the laser sensor performs a 3D scan of the vehiclefrom all angles using a dvnamic cross-sectional scanning method. This scanned data is then transmitted to an edgeintelligent processing host for data filtering and feature extraction.

Finally, an intelligent recognition algorithm uses theextracted vehicle features to determine vehicle type, traffic flow, and speed, and transmits the results to a higher-level management platform.
