Vehicle outline measurement system

Three-dimensional laser profile measuring instruments are widely used in the transportation sector for non-stopoverload detection, source control of overload, highway entrance dissuasion, vehicle annual inspection, and highwayexit auxiliary toll collection systems. They use radar scanning detection technology in conjunction with on-site capturecameras.

When a vehicle enters the measurement area, multiple width and height radars scan the side of the vehicleduring its movement, obtaining slice point cloud data. Then, a long radar scans the vehicle's forward trajectory. Through the intelligent algorithm of the software system,the data is synthesized into complete point cloud data of the vehicle, and the length, wid th, height, and guardrail height of the vehicle are calculated.
